“Bart” game – the first puzzle game that is based on D’Enfent Engine. It is being made with a great help of OpenGameArt community. It may be a good sample to start work with the library.
Description
Genre: (Puzzle + Arcade) / 2
Rules: In a maze there is a human and several monsters. Human wants to escape (reach “exit” point). Monsters, as you may be already thought, want to eat him for breakfast. Everything might be “as usual”, but human is in panic and you cannot control him at all! He is running along straight line until reach wall and then turn his face to a random side and run again. One way exists to help human – you may rotate walls (what a maze without such tricks?). Only this may help him leave the maze avoiding monsters.

What about traps in the hard level?
Idea sounds good! I’ll update TODO list with it. Escaping maze full of traps is a real experience for hardgamers.
Cool! May I ask: Will they look obvious or will they be some kind of hidden mines?
BTW: Two bugs i noticed:
1. If I pull the window half out of screen, the content seems to be misplaced.
2. What about waiting for some cpu cycles? The game takes nearly 100% cpu time. Also sometimes the sprites move differently fast, depending on available ressources.
best regards

I think it will be impossible for the player to avoid traps If they will look as absolutely hidden mines. So, some marks on the map are needed. Thanks for noted bugs! I’ll look at them soon.
interesting game, what about making it in some kind of rpg? A story “you are the god of the maze…” (well, I cant think anything else right now but… xD). So, in the level you could make available items, equipment, armor, weapons etc. Instead of instant death, your protected human (remember you are a god? xD) would fight each mob, gain exp, use potions he find on the floor also… I think u got the idea xD.
Thanks for this really unusual idea!
I will think about it.
